• Open Sources Only: All game statistics, match data, and player information are sourced from publicly available APIs and data dumps (e.g., OpenDota, Steam Web API). We do not crawl private servers or access any information not explicitly exposed by these providers.
• No Proprietary Data: We do not use or store any proprietary or paid datasets. Any third-party integration respects the original license and rate-limit rules of the source.

2. User Data & Privacy

• No Personal Data Storage: We do not collect or store personal information about visitors. We only process the following in volatile or short‑term cache to present analytics:
  • Game account IDs you enter
  • Corresponding public profile & match data retrieved from open APIs
• Cache Only: All fetched data is cached temporarily (e.g., 15 minutes for matches, 1 hour for profiles) to improve performance and reduce API load. After TTL expiry, data is refreshed or discarded.
• No Accounts or Logins: We do not require user registration, logins, cookies beyond session‑level caching, or any form of personal profile.

3. Free Service

• Completely Free: SmurfHub is offered at no cost. There are no subscription tiers, paywalls, or premium features.
• No Fees: We may display non-intrusive analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) for Site improvement, but no paid sponsorship is integrated into core functionality.

4. Analytics & Metrics

• Site Analytics: We use standard web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Plausible) to measure page views, feature usage, and performance. These tools collect anonymized data (IP-masked, no PII) solely for improving the user experience.
• Feature Usage: We may track usage of key Site features (e.g., smurf-check endpoint calls) to prioritize enhancements and maintain uptime.

5. Changes & Updates

• Policy Changes: We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. When significant changes occur, we will adjust the “Last updated” date and, where possible, notify users via a banner on the Site.
